Wilder Ranch National Park

My weekends are crazy sometimes. This weekend in particular was jam packed with things to do. I work 6 days a week including Saturdays, so I really have to make the most of the little time off that I do have which means cramming every activity into Sunday.

The last few months my boyfriend Jon and I have been particularly lazy not getting anything done until past 2pm on Sundays so we decided this weekend we wanted to make a change and got up at 9 and headed out to Santa Cruz to enjoy this trail that sits on the edge of the coast and is extremely breathtaking.

It seriously reminds me of how beautiful California is and I feel extremely lucky to be 30-45 minutes away from this place.

Until next weekend...

Step into Spring

Friday, March 22, 2013

I am also excited about Spring. I know that a lot of people favor the Winter and Summer seasons, but there is something extraordinarily amazing about the season (Maybe because it's a transition between the two meeting perfectly in the middle).

I love the crispness of the days and the warm yet strikingly cool nights. I also am a huge fan of the way it smells outside, it's just about my favorite thing ever.

Anyways, here are some of my picks for Spring that seem to perfectly compliment this transitional nature of the season:

Friday Five

Sometimes there are few greater things than a homemade BLT, walks with your loved ones, signs of spring, your pup (who thinks he's a person), and some new duds (like these ankle booties I got on sale, and denim from H&M for $20-- take that Thrift Shop!).

Black Out

Sunday, March 3, 2013

With only one day off of work this weekend, I totally felt like I would never get an outfit post done. So when I got around to shooting the weather was warm, but extremely overcast. (I think I have bad luck because the last 4-5 times I've tried to do these the weather has been less than ideal to take pictures.)

Regardless of those issues, I still made it outdoors and rocked an all black outfit and with the help from the bf got a few photos I approved of. (As a mini sidebar I am so thankful to have Jon, because without him I probably wouldn't have the courage or help I need to take any outfit photos at all!)

What did you do this weekend?

President's Day Drear

Monday, February 18, 2013

The weather in the Bay Area has been so phenomenal lately that I kind of took it for granted, blindly pretending the weather would just stay 70° and perfect everyday until next Fall. Obviously today was a wake-up call and reminded me that it is only the middle of February (and forecasted to rain again tomorrow!).

Despite how overcast it was, I pulled out my new favorite H&M jacket and this awesome muted leopard sweater and enjoyed what was left of the day.
